Single and Governmental Audits, Service Organizations, Special-Purpose & Other Country Frameworks

Single and governmental audits involve the examination of financial statements and operations of individual entities and government organizations, respectively, to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient use of resources. Service organizations are audited for the controls they provide to user entities, which may impact the user entities' financial reporting. Special-purpose frameworks are alternative accounting methods used to prepare financial statements when GAAP is not applicable, and other country frameworks refer to accounting standards adopted by countries different from those issued by the U.S. standard setter.
