As we all know, the CPA exam will be undergoing some significant changes beginning in 2024, under the title "AICPA Evolution". While these changes do not take effect until 2024, there are some critical dates and pieces of information that we will continue to share with you leading up to the new year. As seen below, the AICPA has put forth the following CPA Evolution exam transition plan:
Oct. 1, 2023 Deadline for first-time candidates for BEC to apply for a BEC Exam NTS*
Nov. 12, 2023 Deadline for approved re-exam candidates to apply for a BEC NTS*
Nov. 15, 2023 NASBA will stop processing Authorizations and (NTS) for BEC*
Nov. 22, 2023 NASBA will start processing Discipline Exam applications.
Dec. 15, 2023 The last day of testing current CPA Exam sections (AUD, BEC, FAR and REG)
Jan 10, 2024 First day of testing for ALL CPA Evolution exam sections (Core + Discipline)
*These dates apply to the 35 CPA Examination Services (CPAES) jurisdictions. Students in other jurisdictions should check with their individual Board of Accountancy for any BEC application deadlines.
Continue to note all of this important information as we send it your way and mark your calendars according to your specific exam situation. Additionally, historically following the NASBA Twitter account has been a great source of news for all important exam updates.
Have a great rest of your day and keep up the great work.
All the best,
